Sue & Jax
Sue King joined Chesapeake Search Dogs in 2013 and is an Operational K9 handler with her dog, Jax, who is deployable in both Live Air Scent and Human Remains Detection. Sue has holds a NASAR SARTECH II certification, a Canine SARTECH II Area Search certification, an Amateur Radio Technician license, and is a certified NRP Search Team Member. Sue has a degree in Medical Technology and enjoys creative arts. She has two grown sons.
Jax is a Yellow Labrador Retriever who joined the Chesapeake Search Dogs Puppy Program in 2014 at five months old. Jax holds a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Certification, NASAR Canine SARTECH II Area Search certification, NASAR HRD Land Other certification, IPWADA HRD Land certification, and is currently Operational in both Wilderness Air Scent and Human Remains Detection. Jax has matured into a wonderful companion and search partner.
