Carlos & Winston
Carlos Williams joined Chesapeake Search Dogs in 2017 and is a physician and active duty Naval officer who resides in Montgomery County with his wife Raimee, two dogs (Winston and Rico), two cats (Sofie and Kat), turtle (Fred) and a host of chickens. He is an operational flanker and currently on the prep team to become an operational K9 Handler. Carlos holds an Amateur Radio License, NASAR SARTECH I and SARTECH II and the NASAR Canine SARTECH III certification, and is trained and certified by the Navy in cold weather, mountain, and wilderness medicine. Carlos is an instructor for Wilderness Frist Aid and Basic and Advance Life Support. In his spare time, he loves gardening, classic cars, traveling the globe with his wife, and supporting community development programs.
Winston is a Standard Poodle who is training to be a live air scent dog. Winston holds a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certification, and when he’s not training to be a search dog, he loves duck and upland game hunting, scent work and AKC Fast CAT racing. Winston has grown into a wonderful K9 partner and is one smart cookie.
Rico is a Vizsla is who is training to be a live air scent and cadaver dog and when he’s not training to be a search dog, he loves upland bird hunting, AKC scent work and AKC Fast CAT racing. Rico was the fastest Vizsla in the Fast CAT sport in 2020.
